Traits are knacks, disadvantages or powerful abilities that can be acquired by NPCs and the MC.
In addition to [[The Player#Skills|Skills]], [[The Player#Attributes|Attributes]], and [[The Player#States & Conditions|States & Conditions]], the MC and [[Story NPCs|NPCs]] have their personalities defined by Traits: quirks, knacks, powerful abilities, or disadvantages which combine to contribute to making every person unique and memorable. MC Traits are selected at character creation. NPCs will usually have certain Traits specific to them, and others variable and determined when you meet them. Some NPC traits can develop or reduce over time - in some cases, influenced by the MC.

In addition to Skills, Attributes, and States & Conditions, the MC and NPCs have their personalities defined by Traits: quirks, knacks, powerful abilities, or disadvantages which combine to contribute to making every person unique and memorable. MC Traits are selected at character creation. NPCs will usually have certain Traits specific to them, and others variable and determined when you meet them. Some NPC traits can develop or reduce over time - in some cases, influenced by the MC.
