Sentinel Hill, also known as Mound of The Whispering One is a visitable POI located in Raven Wood.
History
Sentinel Hill or "Mound of The Whispering One" is one of Ikaanos' most interesting locations, especially for historians and anthropologists.
The hill, believed to have been erected by the Modesto tribe around 2150 on top of an inactive hydrothermal spring, was a thriving spiritual center when The Second Wave landed on Raana in 2230. The Modesto Tribe was one of the first contacts and many of its members joined the second wave in building what today is Ikaanos.
Not all members of the Modesto were happy seeing their sacred ground getting eaten by farmsteads and modern commodities, however. There were several violent incidents during the late 2240s that eventually lead to the closure of Sentinel Hill's interior - supposedly a vast temple complex with corridors leading down through the wells of "limitless depths".
Many religious experts believe that Sentinel Hill was the birthplace of The Cult of The Elder, acting as an important communication code between devotees and their god. Sentinel Hill does receive its share of cultist pilgrims but nowadays the temples of New Eden far outshine the jagged rocks of Whitehaven's green neighbor
