The Library

Overview

The Library is a buildable room within the Player's Home. It is where The Player and his household NPCs read books.

Construction & Upgrade

  • Construction ($15,000): A newly installed library. The chamber itself is pretty austere but not lacking in functionality.
  • Decorate ($5,000): A cozy library with new wallpaper, an antique Earth globe and many eye-pleasing decorations. Increases the chance for any non-bound household member to score a +1 to Academics by %0.1

Collection

The player can add the following books to the Library:

  • Encylopædia Britannica. ($800) Increases the chance for any non-bound household member to score a +1 to Academics by %0.1
  • Encylopædia Raanica. ($4,500) Increases the chance for any non-bound household member to score a +1 to Academics by %0.1
  • Lost manuscripts of Hirnosso. ($25,000) Increases the chance for any non-bound household member to score a +1 to Academics and Occultism (WIP) by %0.1
    Changes the description of the Library if the player has decorated it prior to adding this book: A luxurious Alexandrian library with new wallpaper, an antique Earth globe and many rare books that hold the local scholarly world in awe.
  • Forbidden books of Awalei. ($100,000) Increases the chance for any non-bound household member to score a +1 to Academics and Occultism (WIP) by %0.1

Furniture

The player can add the maximum amount of the following furniture to the Library:

  • Armchair (Three)
  • Bookshelf (Seven): Increase the nightly chance for all non-bound household members to gain a +1 to either Intelligence, Academics, Science or Administration by %0.1. Increases the chance for any non-bound household member to score a +1 to Academics, Science, and Occultism by %0.1 at 5 bookshelves and onwards.

Rename

The player can rename the Library if he so chooses.
