Second Wavers

Name given to the descendants of the four huge colony ships which arrived on Raana in 2230, 2231, 2233 and 2237. Comprising a "second wave" of colonisation after the first, much smaller, settler ship had vanished from contact, presumed lost, 100 years earlier in 2130. Unlike the survivors of the first ship (which had crashed), they attempted to maintain their contemporary Earth cultures (American, British, Scandinavian, German, French, Russian, Japanese, African Unionists, Celts, Italian), and high technology. On their arrival, many of the First Wavers did integrate with them, essentially becoming Second Wavers.
