"The Valkyria" arrives in Marston Avenue on day 30 in the game, with her two team mates Daniel and Bjorn. You must defeat the group and capture her alive if you want to add her to your household as an NPC. And you will only have one chance: once you disturb the group they will leave the area never to return. So if you are defeated by them, or pull back after encountering them in hopes of returning later, that's the last you will see of the Valkyria. Her group will also vanish if the Skyguard come through to clear bandits out of the area, so don't leave it too long after day 30 to try to pick up Valkyria if you want her.  
"The Valkyria" can be recruited should the player complete "The Valkyria" quest that can be found at [[Odensborg]] and choose to take her in. Note that this quest will put the player in combat with her two teammates, Daniel and Bjorn, before putting them through a STRENGTH check.
